Saw-toothed sage is a regional endemic---a wet prairie plant specific to the Upper Mississippi River region (SE Minnesota, Western Wisconsin, Iowa). It grows on moist to wet loam and silty loam. It is a tall plant with leaves green above and silvery below. Good in mixtures.
